Amy Kenyon Campbell
Assistant Director
Amy plans, implements and assesses faculty development programs for the improvement of teaching and learning, provides programs and resources designed to increase understanding of the teaching-learning process and manages personnel and other resources for the Center for Instructional Technology. Her interests are in massive open online courses (MOOCs) and their impact on campus teaching, course and program design, curriculum mapping, assessment, and engaging teaching strategies for student learning.

Background
Amy formerly was the Senior Academic Technology Consultant and project manager for Blackboard in the Center for Instructional Technology. Before coming to CIT in 2001, Amy was the assistant director of the Office for Teaching and Learning at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, where her work focused on effective uses of technology to support teaching. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Virginia, and a master’s degree in ecology and evolution from the University of Michigan. She has taught for many years as a graduate teaching assistant in Biology, and has been an adjunct faculty member in Biology at the community college level. She also completed a certificate in distance education from the University of Wisconsin, and has participated in the Educause Institute Learning Technology Leadership Program.
