Statistics Education Summit at Duke Feb 3, 2012
Mine Çetinkaya-Rundel, Kari Lock Morgan and Dalene Stangl, faculty in Duke’s Department of Statistical Science, are pleased to invite you to the Statistics Education Summit, February 3, 2012, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at 116 Old Chemistry. The Summit will focus on the nature of the introductory statistics courses offered by their department. Through an interactive discussion, the presenters will share how they teach introductory statistics conceptually and using real data from many disciplines and applications, as well as hear your thoughts on how best to prepare students for future classes in other disciplines.
All are invited, but asked to please RSVP with lunch preference. If you are interested but unable to attend, please let the presenters know so that they can share highlights with you after the Summit.
