Experiment with teaching applications of common mobile devices, such as cell phones and the iPod Touch. Meet for monthly hands-on demonstrations and discussions with fellow faculty members.
Mobile Devices in Education
We will discuss ideas for using mobile devices both inside and outside the classroom for education. In addition, Owen Astrachan will talk about his plans for using Poll Everywhere, a simple polling system that uses student cell phones as “clickers” to gather student responses. We’ll try it out.
