Implementing Student Video Projects
Are you thinking about having your students create a video for a class? Would you like to offer video creation as an option for students in their research projects? In this session, we'll look at examples of how student video projects are enhancing teaching and learning at Duke, from quick video illustrations to a more polished product. We'll talk you through the best ways to implement and evaluate these kinds of projects, and connect you to the resources that can help your students be successful.
Pre-Requisites: Open to anyone teaching at Duke; priority for the August 14th & September 25th sessions to full-time faculty and instructors who are considering participating in CIT's Student Video Fellows program.

Managing Long Documents MS Word
Long text documents, like dissertations and theses, can be difficult to take control of. In this hands-on workshop, you will explore and apply a number of techniques in MS Word. This includes templates, styles & formatting, section breaks, tables of contents, figures, page numbering and headers & footers. This workshop is appropriate if you are writing (or about to write) your dissertation or thesis, or if you have other tasks that require you to tame thick tomes of text.
Pre-Requisites: Basic knowledge of MS Word; this is not an introduction for complete beginners to Word.
