In conjunction with the Duke Digital Initiative (DDI), the Center for Instructional Technology and the Office of Information Technology are co-sponsoring programs for iPod use by instructors and students in undergraduate courses taught during the Summer 2008 academic term.
Students who wish to borrow an iPod for the term to use in undergraduate coursework and activities, or teaching assistants (TAs) for undergraduate courses who will be providing support for curricular activities that require the use of iPods.
Eligible participants may request the loan of an iPod kit (5th generation iPod and microphone accessory) from the OIT Help Desk, as long as supplies last. The loan kit must be returned at the end of the term or a fine (equal to the retail replacement cost of the equipment) will be levied. The Office of Information Technology provides a range of training sessions of interest to students who plan to use iPods in academic work.
