Faculty Lunchbox Sessions

Each day at lunch, we are also offering a "Faculty Lunchbox" session. These are a combination of lunch + presentation of a series of applications that might form a "faculty productivity toolbox" + discussion.

Attendees at the sessions will be introduced at each session to one popular and useful tool or method which CIT feels might benefit faculty who are looking for approachs to help them organize information, collaborate on projects, or share materials with others. After a short presentation, the majority of the session will focus on discussion among the faculty attendees about perceived usefulness of the tool presented, relevance with regard to their current work patterns, and any questions they have about how to get started.

Research account credit (limited eligibility)

Faculty and full-time instructors who attend one or more workshop or lunchbox session are eligible to receive a stipend payable as a transfer to a Duke research account, up to a maximum of $300 per individual. Stipends are calculated based on the number of credits assigned to each session; the basic formula is 1 hour = 1 credit = $50. Eligible participants should submit the research account credit request form (PDF file) to CIT no later than May 20, 2008.
