Tuesday - Friday, 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
January 15 - April 22, 2008
Closed April 23 & 24 for CIT Showcase activities.
Hours by appointment only whenever classes are not in session, including during spring break & exam week. Advance requests of at least one business day is required for appointments.
The instructional technology lab is available on a drop-in basis Tuesday - Friday from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. when undergraduate classes are in session. Assistance and equipment is available during those times on a first-come, first-served basis for faculty and instructional staff who wish to work on a range of basic materials production tasks.
Some projects cannot be accommodated during drop-in hours due to their complexity or the need to set up special equipment in advance. In these cases, our student assistants may ask you to request a meeting with a CIT consultant to discuss your plans in more details prior to using the lab.
You may request a reservation to use lab equipment and workstations during drop-in hours (to guarantee equipment availability) or at other times during normal weekday business hours. Contact us at cit@duke.edu or by telephone at 660-5806 to make arrangements.
We recommend at least one business day advance notice for appointment requests; please include in your message a brief description of the project you have in mind. If you have never worked in the CIT Lab before, we may ask you to set up an initial consultation with a CIT staff member prior to beginning your project, depending on the nature of the work you would like to complete.
If we are not able to accommodate your request, we will refer you to other campus or community resources to help you carry out your project, where possible.
