Data collection using PDAs

Dr. Richman used 15 hand held devices to allow students to collect data in her research methods course in social psychology. The students designed questionnaires and collected data to assess emotions in real time in response to certain experiences. This project increased student engagement, particularly in organizing the survey.

On-line Computer Simulations of a Model of Classical Conditioning

Project Description

Dr. Schmajuk and his graduate student Jose Larrauri designed and programmed an interface for students taking a course on Animal Learning and Cognition. The interface allowed the students to design an experiment, run the experiment on a “virtual” animal, and generate graphics of the results. Students using the system expressed interest and satisfaction.
