Pre-semester reservations process for Fall 2008
Make a Request
Our pre-semester reservations request period closed on Friday, August 1st. We are currently processing those requests and will notify participating instructors about fall lab reservations no later than 5 pm on Friday, August 8th.
Please click the "Submit a Reservation" link at left if you would like to request additional reservations.
Our pre-semester reservations process for Fall 2008 courses opens on May 30, 2008 and will remain available until 5 pm on Friday, August 1, 2008. During this period, we accept requests from language programs/departments for
all sections that are taught of a course. We do these first for each semester's lab schedule, to make sure course-wide activities are given the proper priority.
As you prepare your requests, please keep the following things in mind:
- Please submit only one request form per course. There is no need to fill out a new form for each section. However, if you are coordinating more than one course, we will need a separate form for each.
- Every reservation request must include both a preferred date and a second-choice date. We will make every effort to give you your first choices, but please do not make any final plans until your reservations are confirmed on August 8, 2008.
- During this process, we will also ask for information about which textbook you will be using for this course. If you will be adopting a new text or a new edition this semester, please let us know as soon as possible. We use this information to help keep our multimedia resource sites and course information up to date.
- Please submit your requests by August 1, 2008. We will start processing requests immediately and will make every effort to have your requests confirmed no later than 5 pm on Friday, August 8, 2008. Note that we are not able to confirm individual requests earlier than this time frame.
Submitting a reservation request
- Course-wide reservations must be requested via the pre-semester web forms. We cannot accept reservation requests that are e-mailed to individual staff members or submitted by any other means.
- The pre-semester form is designed for reservations that apply to all sections of a class. Examples include a test that must be taken by all sections on the same day, technology orientations for all sections of a course, etc. To make a reservation for a single section, please use our regular reservation forms.
- The regular web forms will remain available for summer courses. You may request fall dates using the regular forms, but be aware that requests for fall dates will not be processed until after the pre-semester process is complete. Please see the reservations page for links to these forms.
