The following companies will have representatives at the Showcase and will demonstrate products they offer for higher education use.

Apple Computer
Apple wireless-enabled mobile computers extend learning beyond the classroom
and bridge learning between home and school. Apple's user-friendly "iApps" in conjunction with today's digital devices bring sights, sounds and interactive media that engage, empower, and motivate students in and out of the classroom like never before.
ArcStream
Arcstream, a systems integration company specializing in mobile and wireless technologies, will be demonstrating a mobile student medical workbench (as deployed at Harvard and Florida State). Arcstream is a Building Blocks partner with Blackboard and will also be demonstrating Blackboard to Go.
Blackboard Blackboard
Blackboard is an integral part of Duke University's online teaching and learning offering. Stop by for a Blackboard 6.0 demo, user tips and resources, and see what's in store for the future of e-Education.
Bluefish
Bluefish Wireless enables companies to interact with employees, partners, and customers in a new and intuitive way. Introducing the first two-way infrared wireless communication platform for developing and deploying applications for handheld devices. The Bluefish Network provides on-location data downloads and transaction functionality via the infrared port of a user's PDA.

Content is managed from one central location (inside your network if you prefer) and information can be sent and received through Bluefish Access Points wherever they are deployed.

Compaq
Access the Internet, information, and content for your business and personal life at any given time, in any given place. The most powerful and expandable Pocket PC - Compaq iPaq 3870.

Compaq combines the latest technology with ultimate flexibility and expandability in a desktop-equivalent class of notebooks.

Macromedia
Bring the power of web technology into your classroom. Whether you're creating websites or multimedia projects, Macromedia offers education pricing, curriculum, professional development, and partnerships exclusively for educators. Macromedia will be demonstrating Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Flash and how to integrate these software into your teaching.

Palm Computer
Palm will showcase their newest handheld devices (including the m515, which is being piloted in the School of Nursing at Duke), wireless connectivity using Xircom LAN adapters, and a range of faculty and student solutions being used at Duke and elsewhere. Other highlights will include reference materials
available on Palm devices (e.g., Physician's Desk Reference) and tools for publishing on a Palm (e.g., Lectora Publisher and DropBook).
