iQuiz Maker is a program developed by Aspyr Software for Macintosh and Windows PCs. It builds on Apple Inc's iQuiz game structure to let you create true/false and multiple choice quizzes for playback on a fifth generation ("video") iPod.
The game feature of the fifth generation iPod is quite recent. Educational and home users are still exploring the uses of iPod quizzes, but the ability to set up iQuiz review modules will address a need the iPod previously could not accommodate. This will likely lead to extensive uses in educational settings where iPods are already in use.
To play quizzes created by others, you must first purchase and download the iQuiz game engine from Apple ($0.99 in the iTunes Store) into your local copy of iTunes. Once you have installed iQuiz, you can download and play quizzes created by others. To create your own quizzes, you can download and install the free iQuiz Maker software from Aspyr. The iQuiz Maker program lets you set up individual quizzes or groups of quizzes organized together by theme. Once your quiz is complete, you can export it into a single file or "quiz pack" for distribution.
