Classroom Technology

Lectopia

Lectopia is an automated lecture capturing application that captures, converts, and publishes (streaming, podcast, and download) audio, VGA, and video components of a lecture.

Personal Response Systems

Student Personal Response Systems (PRS) are used by faculty members during class to poll students or give a short quiz. Typically, they are used in larger, lecture-style classes and can involve hardware-based systems (where students are given a hand-held device similar to a remote control) or software-based systems that use existing hardware such as laptop or hand-held computers.

SMART Boards

The SMART Board is a touch sensitive display that connects to a computer and or digital projector to show computer images and applications, documents, and notes in digital ink. A user may use his or her finger, pen or mouse to navigate on the display, the same way as would navigate using a computer mouse. The digital ink lets the user write over applications and save notes.
