Web Authoring

We are using the term Web Authoring to refer to the creation of text or multimedia documents that can be published to the Web. The tools are geared towards a typical user, who needs the power to simply create content, but would not necessarily have the time to spare to engage in html or programming skills to create the content from scratch. The output of products produced with Web Authoring tools are published in one of several places. The output could be a public web site, a protected site accessible only by select individuals or groups, or a Blackboard course web site.
